Lucy Liu (born Lucy Liu) is an American voice actor, director producer and vocalist. She's attractive and talented actress who has helped numerous Asian actors to achieve success in Hollywood. An early string of success performances in popular TV series made her famous for joining the cast on Ally McBeal, where she played Ling Woo. She translated her newfound fame into roles on the big screen, in Shanghai Noon, Charlie's Angels and several other films. Her performance was outstanding as Japanese criminal O-Ren Ishii (Quentin Tarantino) in Kill Bill Volume 1 by Quentin Tarantino. During this time she also acted as the lead in some failures at the box office including Rise: Blood Hunter. Then, she was able to voice prominent characters in animation films such as Kung Fu Panda. Mia Mason's character in Cashmere Mafia, a small screen film, failed to yield outcomes. Southland is a critically-acclaimed series of police dramas that included Liu in multiple parts, helped to establish her as an actress. Liu has a lot of care when choosing her roles to ensure she doesn't get typecast. While she's very proud of her ethnicity but she doesn't let that limit her creativity.
