
Rosie Perez (born Rosa Maria Perez on September 6, 1964) is an American actress choreographer, dancer, and activist. Her breakout role as Tina in Do the Right Thing (1989) was followed by White Men Can't jump (1992). Her performance as Tina in Fearless (1993) has earned her an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Perez's leading roles in films include It Could Happen to You (1994) and The Road to El Dorado(2000), Pineapple Express (2007), and Birds of Prey (2018). In addition, she received three Primetime Emmy Award nominations (in 1990-1994) and a third Emmy nomination (2020-present) for her role as the Flight Attendant. In addition, she has been featured in Broadway productions, including The Ritz and Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune and Fish in the Dark. She was also the co-host of The View's 18th season on ABC's talk show The View. She was a student at Grover Cleveland High School, located in the Ridgewood neighborhood of Queens.
